Should I study English in a group?

You will always learn more in private classes—but group lessons are often cheaper.  Of course, there is an inverse relation between class size and learning speed. This happens mostly for two reasons.

On one hand, conversation is essential to learn a language—and speaking for more than just a few minutes becomes almost impossible in big groups.

On the other, it is difficult to get individual attention in a large class so problems that could be solved in small groups remain undetected in big ones.

Therefore, you’ll learn faster in individual lessons. If you prefer a group, try to join classes with six or fewer students. You will have the opportunity to practise conversation and will also get individual attention from your teacher.
