Why not learn verb tenses based on how we use them?
We generally learn tenses with a teacher telling us something like this: «We use the past perfect for (a) actions far in the past (b) actions in the past that happen before other actions in the past (c) etc! Not very exciting, is it? Today we will propose another way of doing things. We will first decide what we’d like to say and only then will we decide how to say it.
