How can we describe things that take a long time? Very easily. With continuous tenses, which some people call progressive tenses. The continuous is fantastic because we can use it everywhere. “We will be travelling nonstop” happens in future, “Gilda is repairing the machine” in present and “Reeves was building a model” in past.
